The topic is mental health, not guns…

I noticed when The Washington Post article appeared online many people locked onto the fact that the article was about guns.  It was not.  I (or the author of the article had) have very little to say about the gun laws in our society.  I do have a lot to say about mental illness, and not in the way that you may think.  I think a person’s mental health/illness shows up in the way he/she handles his/her own anger.  Think about it.  Some people are so peaceful, they willl not hurt a fly.  Others fly off into a rage and will become violent.  Within that wide range is a person’s ability to use words.  If a person has the right words, conflicts can be resolvved.  If a person does not, conflicts or festering will insue.  Look around us and watch how people handle themselves when they are angry.  Mental illness comes in all forms, but I think it can most be seen in how a person handles anger.  We can talk more about this later…
